Photography is a difficult medium.  You attempt to capture the essence and movement of life and existence in a single still photograph. It is impossible to capture the perfection of a heavy storm on the shore.   No single image cannot portray the dance of the wind in the wheat fields.   No picture can give you the song of the birds in the trees. No way to capture the movement of a pleased smile. No hope of showing others just what the perfect sunny day is like. I love photography.  But pictures cannot capture the rapturous movement that goes on around me when I'm shooting.  It's too perfect for words, too much for one camera to attempt

News: My dad was hospitalized recently for a heart emergency. He's fine! I just didn't have any time to take pictures at all. I'm cutting Project 365 short. I'll still try to take pictures but right now all that's "shootable" is our cats.... especially Pepper (the black one) since he started pulling his hair out and we put a cone on him. It's hilarious

Okay, Oregon.  What is with me and living right next to borders???  Anyway, Project 365 will continue but in a different state. 6-18:  Alas, it is time to say goodbye to California.  I'm really going to miss it.  I had the time of my life. 5-26:  Little to report but I LOVE THE NEW DA SUBMIT SET UP!  LOVE IT!!!  Yay for upgrades!!!  Thank you admins! 5-18:  Crazy weeks.  Had a tour in a park that I didn't belong to (I volunteered), three powerpoint programs inside a cave (it was warmer in the cave than outside!)  and I got to spend about 7 hours (SEVEN) in a school bus with 35 3rd graders and about a dozen chaperones....
